j'habite le quartier depuis 14 ans. Les + Communauté dynamique pour la famille, sports hockey, baseball. À coté de la ligne de métro. Rue Fleury commerciale et sympathique. Plusieurs école primaire publique. École Sophie Barat publique qui est dans un superbe environnement. Les moins (-) Rue Henri-bourassa laide et bruyante. Terminus Henri-Bourassa avec un faune bigarré, pushers bars et fastfood miteux.

LaSalle reeks. I call the borough "LaStink". I am sick and tired of smelling stale yeast from Fleischmann's and I am fed up of inhaling air pollution caused by the many cars and trains in the area. Thank God we are renters, because when we move, we will leave LaSalle for good.

There is a lot of hidden poverty in LaStink, including a high percentage of single mothers who hole up with their kid(s) in basement apartments or in large apartment buildings. I have never seen so many unemployed people in an area in my life.

The people I know who have moved from LaStink have never returned.

My neighborhood is fantastic. I live right by the Lachine Canal and walk my dog by the water everyday. Children play in the streets, mothers walk their baby strollers, people are jogging and biking everywhere. It's such a peaceful place to live.
